Experience the ultimate Christmas feeling at the classic ballet 'The Nutcracker'. Imagine: it is Christmas Eve and at the Stahlbaum family's house it is time for presents. Clara receives a beautiful nutcracker doll from her godfather. at night, the doll transforms into a handsome prince, who takes Clara to an adventurous fairytale world. Together with an army of tin soldiers, they go to war against the false mouse king and travel further past, among other things, the ant-sweet Candy Kingdom.

The ballet in two acts was first performed at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg in December 1892. Today, it remains one of the world's most popular ballets, thanks to its enchanting music and magical choreography. This is certainly true of the performance by the State Opera of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, with a large orchestra of as many as 42 musicians and a troupe of 42 dancers, nothing is left to chance. Including support staff for e.g. hairdressing and grime, repetitors and technicians, over 100 people are on hand to give you a wonderful performance.
